Author’s Note
The animals featured in this novel would have come across one another in real life. That is, more than 65 million years ago, Velociraptor, Saurornithoides, Tarbosaurus etc. would have met. However, since theories about these animals are frequently changing as new remains are discovered and technology improves, the animals’ habits, social organisation etc. may differ from those portrayed in this book.
The species in particular, Velociraptor Obscurus, is fictional; only Velociraptor Mongoliensis is known to have truly existed. However, the habits of Velociraptor Obscurus in this novel are the same or similar to those of Velociraptor Mongoliensis. Only size and possibly colour are the major differences between the two.
